MRUDNEWS_Bahrami noted that the project is being implemented with a budget exceeding 2,900 billion rials from PMO allocations. "The renovation and major overhaul of six transit warehouses with a total area of 54,000 square meters has been carried out, currently reaching 80% physical progress and entering its final stages," he said.

He added that under this plan, in addition to complete reconstruction of roofs, floors, and walls, modern equipment and facilities have been supplied and installed to comply with contemporary cargo storage standards and safety requirements.

"These measures not only extend the useful life of the structures but also, by creating optimal conditions, prevent quality deterioration of goods during their storage period," Bahrami explained.

The deputy emphasized that the renovation of this warehouse complex has a direct impact on improving operational productivity and facilitating loading and unloading processes. "With the final commissioning of this project, we will witness accelerated cargo turnover and increased efficiency of logistics activities, ultimately benefiting the country's supply chain."

Bahrami concluded by stating that the development and renovation of port infrastructure, particularly in warehousing, is among the strategic priorities of the Ports and Maritime Organization. "The implementation of this project with favorable physical progress demonstrates this directorate's determination to preserve national assets and enhance the operational capacity of the Imam Khomeini Port Complex. We are striving to bring these warehouses into full operation in the shortest possible time."
